Dr. Ruth Farrar is a filmmaker, sound artist and Director of Shextreme Film Festival. She has produced media for clients including Vogue, Twentieth Century Fox and Discovery. Ruth’s award-winning films have been screened at British Film Institute and film festivals from California and Cannes.Ruth’s latest commissions include an interactive storytelling app for Carnegie Hall in New York.
Rob Brown: Senior Lecturer at Artswork Media
Rob Brown is an award-winning director whose work has been screened at Edinburgh International Film Festival and broadcast on BBC TV. His award nominations include 'European Competition' at Brest European Short Film Festival and the BBC New Filmmakers Award. In 2016, Rob won a coveted place on the BBC Directors Room Scheme. In 2017, his film SIXTEEN won Best Film at RTS South West Awards.
Naomi Smyth: Studio Technician at Artswork Media
Naomi is a professional maker of films, theatre and video installations. Her feature documentary 'Invisible Circus: No Dress Rehearsal' was distributed by Future Artists Ltd in 2011.
Naomi has worked on camera and editing for documentaries broadcast on Channel 4, More 4, BBC 1 and BBC World. She has run documentary making courses and was a BFI Film School Mentor in Bristol's 2016 cohort.
Jamie Harding: Studio Technician at Artswork Media
Jamie Harding is a freelance DOP based in Bristol. He is an RTS nominated cinematographer.
He has shot a Channel 4 RandomAct in 2016 & he shot Touch on Super8, directed by Poppy Baines which was in the 2017 Cannes Straight8 selection. Alongside industry client shoots, several music videos & shorts, Jamie is just starting his journey into celluloid.
